The 332nd birthday of Johann Sebastian Bach will be celebrated at many locations, including the Bachhaus in Eisenach, his birthplace. Birthday guests can look forward to
a full day of interesting things to see, hear and do, including lots of music, a reading and the opening of a new exhibition room in the museum.

The programme includes performances by the Eisenacher Kurrende (boys and girls choir) and the Trombone Choir of St. George’s Church (Georgenkirche). Official speeches, for example by the Mayor of Eisenach and the Vice President of the Neue Bachgesellschaft Executive Board, Roderich Kreile (Dresden), will be followed by the ceremonial cutting of the large birthday cake.
