We are looking forward to next year when the 98th Bach Festival of the New Bach Society (NBG) will take place, under the slogan “INSPIRED BY BACH”, in the Westphalian city of Muenster and its region (Muensterland).
Besides J.S. Bach’s original music, INSPIRED BY BACH will perform works inspired or influenced by his music, whether in traditional concerts or in innovative formats, from opera to house concerts, with known or unknown repertoire as well as original performances. A focal point of the programme is devoted to Bach’s inspiration in the Netherlands and to leading and innovative Dutch ensembles.
INSPIRED BY BACH will be organised by the Muenster Lutheran Church District, by the Muenster Diocese, and by the GWK-(organisation/promotion/communication) Society for Westphalian Cultural Activities. The Muenster Symphony Orchestra will be a cooperating partner. The artistic direction will lie with the Lutheran District Choirmaster Konrad Paul, the Cathedral Choir Conductor Alexander Lauer, and the director of the GWK Dr. Susanne Schulte, as well as with the General Music Director of the City of Muenster, Golo Berg. The Homepage www.bachfest-muenster.de has already been activated.
